Tartaric Acid appears as colourless crystals of white powder without odour, of strongly acid taste, stable in air. Tartaric acid is widely spread in nature, it is present in many fruits, free or combined with potassium, calcium or magnesium.tartaric Acid is known as acid salt of potassium and has gained the name tartarus. It is used for hundreds of years and has proved it’s safety, which is confirmed in the related food laws.
